Inspired Events
At our Inspired Events, we share the stories, adventures and experiences of amazing OWYAH women to help inspire and encourage you and your OWYAH spirit.
How it works: We host Inspired once a month(ish), with a new guest each time.
We start with a short intro and some guidelines before our guest/member introduces us to her story. The audience will then be invited to ask questions.
After questioning, we close and have some informal social time.
Inspired is one of our most popular events and is held in-person in Victoria and, sometimes, via Zoom.
You’re welcome to join us as a guest to be inspired and upflited by an OWYAH story, meet other awesome women and get a taste of our amazing community and all that it offers.

In this special edition of Inspired, you’ll learn how to write your story.
The intention is that you come away with a clear sense and structure of your story and a good draft outline that would have you well-prepared to be featured at Inspired if you'd like.
If you might wish to continue to work at writing or publishing your story, you'll take it from there.

Our featured OWYAH woman is Lindsay Wickware from Almonte, ON. Lindsay is a former graphic designer, mental health care coordinator, mom to an 8 year old daughter and founder of the Lindsay Joy Project where she is joyfully rediscovering and sharing her love of art, in her mid-40s, after suffering a concussion.

Our featured OWYAH woman is Susan Simmons, a local marathon swimmer who lives an incredibly busy and active life, while having lived with MS for over 25 years.
